E.V.O is an interesting side scrolling action rpg about evolution. You play a creature that evolves through different eras of time as a challenge that, if beaten, lets you live in Eden with Gaia.

It's funny, as a kid playing this, I never got far enough to learn the interesting story twist.

As far as gameplay goes, the hit detection is a bit wonky and controlling your character is a little clunky, but not so bad that it ruins the game. I'm not a big fan of the music. Some of the tracks are alright, but the samples they're using became grating to me. Graphically it's alright and always interesting when you evolve your character to see how they had to work all the different parts of the character together.
