Laura Flanders caught up with disability justice activist and debut author Dara Baldwin in DC earlier this week to talk the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the right to vote for disabled people and the barriers to voting they face today. Baldwin's new book is "To Be a Problem: A Black Woman's Survival in the Racist Disability Rights Movement", out now via Beacon Press. It draws on her lifetime of work within the movement — and the many times she has been the only person of color in the room when significant disability policy decisions are made.
