Everton took the lead from the penalty spot in the first half through Iliman Ndiaye and turned in a battling performance in the second to secure a 1-0 win at Brighton and Hove Albion.

Ndiaye's spot kick and that superb rearguard display ensured the Blues kept a clean sheet and took maximum points from the AMEX Stadium.
