Immigrant communities are facing serious threats and hostility from the Trump administration. Jacqueline García, a Senior Reporter at the LA-based CALÓ News, says some of the immigrants she's spoken to are fearful, but are choosing to help Los Angeles recover after the wildfires.

"They are saying that this is their way to show that they are not criminals, that they are not murderers, that they are not anything of what current president Donald Trump is calling them," she shares, "but that they are people that are helping."
