Saturday Morning
In the late 1960s, Sonny Criss suffered from mental depression, tension, anxiety and neurosis, as any sensitive and creative artist suffers.
This "Saturday Morning" was the first LP released in the 1970s, when he was gradually getting better physically and mentally.
The passion that erupted from the depths of Sonny Criss's heart and the tones of the alto saxophone that penetrated the soul captivated everyone who listened.
Criss, who was a perfect alto saxophone player, never played again after being diagnosed with stomach cancer in 1977. As a result of his illness, he committed suicide in Los Angeles in November of the same year. He was fifty years old.
