5v5 vs. 6v6 and the Future of Overwatch
I got the opportunity to sit down with the Lead Game Director of Overwatch 2 Aaron Keller, and the Lead Gameplay Designer Alec Dawson and finally get the chance to ask them about their upcoming plans to put 6v6 back into Overwatch 2. What kind of challenges have they faced? How can a game director balance differing perspectives on how the game should be played? What philosophies drive their decisions on the format of Overwatch? What are 6v6's strengths and weaknesses vs 5v5? I'd like to thank Aaron and Alec again for giving me the chance to bring this information to all of you guys to make Overwatch a better game.
