My new doctor looked me straight in the eyes and we had a nice discussion about my health and how we will approach my deficits. You are correct in your statement that looking into the eye of a patient is better than looking at a computer screen.
An old dr once said, "If you listen to the pt long enough, they will tell you what's wrong." It sure was a pleasure working with you, Dr Embry.
Their computers are platinum!
My primary & I sit side by side looking at my record & each other. And she still does an exam. She is The Best!
I like my Dr... He never pushes meds ....
Where I live, the doctors are forced to see so many patients a day and yet documented at the same time that my doctor had to pay for somebody to transcribe the notes during the appointment. It had to come out of his own personal money. But he did it for the last three years until he retired because that was what he had to do to keep up a good level of professionalism and care. itβs disgusting what they make doctors do nowadays.
Sie sind ein IDEALIST und das ist soo schΓΆn! Thank you! :)
Om I was saying that to my self yesterday. At the doctor and he was everywhere but listening
Imagine eye contact, they don't even see patients in person! Or it's behind a mask, a computer and a desk.
I changed to a new PCP and went for a checkup 3 years ago after I moved to a new town; hadn't had a checkup or visit for 12 years. During the "exam" I don't think he made eye contact with me once, just looked at his computer and asked some questions. No hands-on either. Tried to convince me I needed the π, as well π. I had some testing and things done, with good results. I WILL NOT BE BACK TO SEE HIM! And he's supposed to be a mentor for medical students who come to his office; I hate to think what they are learning
Otherwise, don't bother consulting that doctor again. Then work on weaning yourself all those drugs. "There's no money in a cure."
Just pushing πππand πππ. Fed up. . . Still searching Thank you! I hope you will be part of RFKjr team!!!
Lolπ good advice to any husband π€£ don't you think??
Definitely.
I don't need to be the "center of his world," but I do need him/her to listen. Most doctors seem way too busy and mentally preoccupied with to-do lists to attend. I've found that I have to come very organized with an agenda and push to have my POV heard, or else I'll just get run over by jabber and checklists.
Once you read The Silent War on Health by Alex Carter, thereβs no going back to mainstream health advice!
I was trying to explain to the doctor how terrible i was feeling and more than no eye contact he actually yawned!!..how rude thought i...
Im igly as hell bro
